How is Lamina Veneer Procedure Performed?
Consultation:
The dentist assesses the patient’s wishes and needs.
Preparation:
A minimal amount of enamel is removed from the surface of the tooth. This allows the veneer to fit properly on the tooth.
Measurement:
The teeth are measured and sent to the laboratory. Temporary veneers can be used during this time.
Placement of Veneers:
After about one to two weeks, the permanent veneers are fixed to the tooth with a special adhesive.
Advantages of Laminate Veneers
Minimal Abrasion: It requires a minimum amount of abrasion from the tooth surface and is applied only on the visible side of the tooth. Thus, the invisible parts remain intact tooth tissue.
Teeth in the Color You Want:
Teeth whitening methods depend on the natural structure of the tooth and determine the final color. However, you can achieve the color you want with lamina veneers.
Permanent Color:
The color of lamina veneers does not change over time and always remains constant.
Fast Recovery:
Minor crowding can be corrected quickly in patients who do not want to undergo braces or clear aligners.
Natural Aesthetics:
This method requires precise and specialized techniques. Although similar results can be achieved with other full veneer methods, lamina veneers do not damage your teeth and provide the most natural dental aesthetics.
Lamina Veneer Aftercare
After the placement of permanent veneers, daily oral hygiene practices should be continued. Brush and floss your teeth regularly. You may experience mild sensitivity for the first few days, but this will soon pass.
